My Mission

So this began with my dissatisfaction with my husband's taste in movies and my own absent imagination when faced with the Blockbuster New Release wall. Then about a week ago, prompted by an episode of Numb3rs, we began to discuss the Oscars and realized that historically neither of us has had the foundation to comment intelligently on the Academy's choices. Wanting to distinguish ourselves from the bulk of the uninformed masses, we embarked on a quest. We have decided to see the Oscar nominees for best picture, best actor, best actress, best supporting actor and actress, and best animated feature. In doing so, we expect to expand our purview beyond our typical science fiction and romantically comedic drivel. Inspired by one of the nominees, Julie and Julia, I will be blogging our journey to the red carpet. If nothing else, I will have a finite writing project to invoke discipline over my gypsy soul.
